Yes, we use a comination of  the MicroAcupuncture systems that were pioneered by Per Otte and Freddy Dahlgren along with newer more advanced techniques called AcuNova. These systems are all based on the ECIWO acupuncture system pioneered by Dr. Zhang, MD out of China. Dr. Hanson has been using these acupuncture systems over the last 12+ years and has further refined them to improve your outcomes.

The specific styles of Acupuncture we use does 2 things.

1) Stimulates optic nerve cells and wakes up dormant retinal cells. 

2) Increase blood circulation to the eye. 

By increasing circulation to these much needed eye vessels, this will in turn bring oxygen-rich blood to diseased cells.  As the blood begins to nourish the cells, it has the added benefit of decreasing inflammation and reducing oxidative stress.
