Google Reviews
Hear from patients about what changed and what they’re doing again.
★★★★★“Dr. Hanson is fantastic! I had been dealing with some ongoing pain and tightness in my lower back, glute, and right hip. I had been to see massage therapist, chiropractor, and PT…nothing was helping. After only 2 visits with Dr. Hanson, I am back to running, biking and swimming. Thank you!!”
★★★★★“I Highly recommend Dr. Hanson. Dry needling has helped my mobility incredibly. I went in a few months back for a frozen shoulder. After a few treatments I can move my shoulder and neck easily. I no longer wake up in pain. This is really given me hope and honestly my life back. Dr. Hanson is professional, knowledgeable and very kind.”
★★★★★“This has truly been life-changing. I used to need weekly chiropractic visits for my neck because my muscles kept causing it to go out. Since starting care here, I haven’t been back to the chiropractor in six months. I feel better than I have in years.”
Individual results vary.

Your Pain Mapping Visit includes a hands-on examination, treatment when appropriate, and a plan with clear costs. Here’s how it works.
We discuss what hurts, what you’ve tried, and what you want to do again. I also investigate old injuries that may still affect how you move, even if they no longer hurt.
I examine you as you move, checking joint motion, muscle contribution, and nerve sensitivity. I look for areas that aren’t doing their share and may be putting extra strain on the painful tissues.
I explain the findings and recommend treatment. We may first address sensitivity or restricted movement, then recheck what still needs attention. Your plan may include acupuncture, dry needling, focused shockwave, or injections.
We begin treatment when appropriate and recheck relevant movements. Between visits, we track what you can do more comfortably and how long relief lasts. If progress falls short, I reassess the plan.
Includes your examination, care recommendations, and first acupuncture or dry needling treatment when appropriate.
For shockwave or injections, the $150 is applied toward treatment cost. Fees depend on the area and complexity. We explain costs before proceeding.
You don’t need to choose a treatment. Start with the examination.

A Different Approach
Treat where it hurts. Stretch what feels tight. Strengthen what seems weak. When relief fades, repeat.
What’s missing is a clear explanation of why those tissues keep struggling—and what needs to change first.
Map how your nerves, muscles, and joints work together. Identify what’s sensitive, what’s restricted, and what’s carrying too much strain. Then select and sequence treatments to improve movement and help your body share the workload.
A clear order of operations. Every treatment has a purpose. Your response guides the next step.
Every patient adds to a deep working knowledge of pain, movement, old injuries, and treatment response. That experience helps me recognize patterns, ask better questions, and investigate connections that might otherwise go unnoticed.
My doctorate in acupuncture focused on orthopedics and integrative pain management. Thousands of hours of training and clinical practice developed the anatomical knowledge, hands-on assessment, and needle skills I bring to your treatment.
My work with MLB, NFL, and MLS organizations has shaped the same attention to detail—whether your goal is returning to professional sport or picking up your grandchild without hesitation.
I’ve expanded my practice beyond the needle to include focused shockwave, prolotherapy, perineural injections, and other targeted treatments. Your examination determines what we use, where we use it, and in what order.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. Acupuncture is one tool we use. Your visit is built around hands-on pain mapping, orthopedic assessment, targeted treatment, and rechecking your response.
Usually, yes. The first visit is designed to be both diagnostic and therapeutic when appropriate.
Not always. Imaging can be useful, but many pain generators do not show clearly on imaging. We compare imaging with your symptoms, exam, movement, palpation, and treatment response.
It depends on what we find. Some problems respond quickly. Chronic tissue problems, old injuries, nerve sensitivity, and poor tissue capacity usually need a longer plan.
We commonly treat neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, sciatica, migraines, headaches, knee pain, hip pain, plantar fasciitis, tendon pain, nerve irritation, and old injuries.
Care may include acupuncture, dry needling, shockwave therapy, prolotherapy, perineural injection therapy, electroacupuncture, trigger point injections, acupotomy, or other targeted techniques.
