Let's find out what keeps that cycle going. Drawing on 35,000 treatments, Dr. Josh Hanson examines how your nerves, muscles, and joints work together to identify what may be keeping the same area under strain.
Your Precision Biotherapy plan combines treatments selected for your findings—including acupuncture, dry needling, focused shockwave therapy, and dextrose prolotherapy—to help you get back to walks, workouts, and weekends without dreading tomorrow.

Our Approach
Your pain has a history. Your body has a pattern. Your treatment should account for both.
Across 35,000 treatments, I’ve built experience recognizing how pain, movement, and past injuries connect. Precision Biotherapy brings that experience together with a detailed examination and a range of treatment tools—each chosen for a specific purpose.
We explore how your pain started, how it behaves, previous injuries and treatments, and the demands of your daily life. We also establish what you want to regain: sleeping comfortably, walking farther, lifting, training, or keeping up with your family. That gives us a clear direction for your care.
I examine your joints and soft tissues together, feeling what happens as you move. I test muscle strength and activation, check nerve sensitivity, and look for movements that reproduce your symptoms.
Then I connect those findings: which nerves serve the affected areas, which muscles aren’t contributing, and where restricted movement may be shifting extra strain onto painful tissues. The result is a working map of what needs attention—and where treatment may help.
For each target, we define what we want to change: improve joint movement, help a muscle contribute, reduce sensitivity, or support an injured tissue’s recovery.
Then we choose the appropriate tools. Your plan may include acupuncture, focused shockwave, trigger point treatment, dextrose prolotherapy, or perineural injections. The combination follows your examination findings, your goals, and your response.
Assessment continues throughout treatment. We recheck relevant movements, strength, and sensitivity, then watch what happens between visits: what improves, what lasts, and what you can do more comfortably.
If your response differs from what we expected, we revisit our explanation and adjust the plan. The goal is to improve your body’s ability to move, share the workload, and handle the activities that matter to you—even when old injuries or arthritic changes remain.

A Different Approach
Treat where it hurts. Stretch what feels tight. Strengthen what seems weak. When relief fades, repeat.
What’s missing is a clear explanation of why those tissues keep struggling—and what needs to change first.
Map how your nerves, muscles, and joints work together. Identify what’s sensitive, what’s restricted, and what’s carrying too much strain. Then select and sequence treatments to improve movement and help your body share the workload.
A clear order of operations. Every treatment has a purpose. Your response guides the next step.
Every patient adds to a deep working knowledge of pain, movement, old injuries, and treatment response. That experience helps me recognize patterns, ask better questions, and investigate connections that might otherwise go unnoticed.
My doctorate in acupuncture focused on orthopedics and integrative pain management. Thousands of hours of training and clinical practice developed the anatomical knowledge, hands-on assessment, and needle skills I bring to your treatment.
My work with MLB, NFL, and MLS organizations has shaped the same attention to detail—whether your goal is returning to professional sport or picking up your grandchild without hesitation.
I’ve expanded my practice beyond the needle to include focused shockwave, prolotherapy, perineural injections, and other targeted treatments. Your examination determines what we use, where we use it, and in what order.
